rayasianboy, and YOURRAGE drafted their own all-star squads, and we hosted an invitational tournament that was designed to be a content circus. While Complex Media live-streamed the whole evening, creators and media from around the world occupied the courtside and baseline camera pits, broadcasting the action to their audiences.&nbsp; To cap it off, BigXthaPlug took center court and congratulated the winning team before blessing the crowd with a performance. up-and-coming streetwear brand HELLSTAR, we were tasked with helping to conceptualize and build their presence at ComplexCon in Las Vegas.Concepting closely with the small team at Hellstar, we brought their idea to life: What would a booth look like if it were inspired by a Disneyland street set mixed with a blacklight carnival funhouse, with a heavy layer of sci-fi and psychedelia on top? We concepted a short spot in advance of the weekend, location scouting in person as soon as we landed in town, before linking up with Pusha and Malice for a quick 30 minutes of shooting near the Fremont district of Vegas. Editing on the fly, we were able to spin an edit to adidas the following day for publishing, before the shoes dropped the next day. and build out their brand hub in San Francisco during ASW, and after an extensive scouting mission, we decided to turn the building that used to be the famed Fillmore West on Van Ness in downtown SF. The ground-floor level was converted into a lounge for the brand to host athletes and media, while the venue above it served as a hybrid space to display products, shoot stills and video, and host a party for the brand's friends and family. &nbsp; We also created a multimedia display to celebrate that year’s campaign around the iconic Superstar, using projection “holograms” to showcase archival narrative started in 2023, we released the first installment of Future Genesis the following year. Working in CGI with Psyop as an animation partner, we created a cinematic trailer to introduce the world to our characters and, in tandem, released a printed comic book teaser to begin a series of full-length comics that will tell the Future Genesis story in full detail. Chapter One takes place many years after the Original Max Fearlight commercials, and several years before our teasers. It finds Max returning home to the bunker from the unforgiving outside world that he insists is getting worse. He is immediately greeted by his pregnant wife, Sasha, and young daughter, Maxine, both of whom long to explore and enjoy the freedom of being outside. As we developed the Chapter 1 animation and storyline, we began integrating existing and future eyewear to engage Oakley stans and hook in newcomers who may be curious about what the brand is up to. Our aim is for the fiction platform to serve as a creative conduit for inspiring products, brand design, communications, and consumer activations.
